Summary: Creative and imaginative, but not do-able at (my) home
Review: This book has beautiful cakes in it that are so beautiful and original. I found them a little difficult, however, to put into practice! Some are definitely acheivable, but others require equipment, such as an airbrush, which is beyond my baking abilities! I still enjoy the book to look at and use it for ideas. I just don't make the exact cakes she does. I preferred The Ultimate Birthday Cake book much more, although the cakes aren't the calliber of Ms. Peters.

She will show you techniques, and give you ideas that will make your next special cake something extraordinary. She gives recipes for cakes, and icings. She gives patterns for you to use as well. I love this book because it showed how people make some of the wonderful things that they do. If you like cake decorating, or needs some new ideas this book will not disappoint you.

Review: What a beautiful book! I recently received this book as a birthday gift and found it to be better than any actual cake I've ever had (no one in my family bakes anything edible---it's gotten so we just blow the candles out & eat the ice cream) These cakes are unlike anything I've ever seen; they are lovely, lovely works of art and I don't see how anyone could bear cutting into one! What a wonderful talent Miss Peters has! I'm inspired to find her other books....maybe I'll even try making one.....any cake is edible with enough ice cream! Buy this book! It will make you happy!
