Summary: Nutririon Information Included
Review: I appreciated the nutrition information at the end of each recipe, but after reading each, I was reluctant to make too many of the recipes. Also, kids can develop more sophisticated palettes than this book offers. It's better suited to kindergarteners than middle school chefs-in-training.

Summary: confusing format
Review: I found the layout of the book too confusing. Yes, the pictures are vibrant and eye-catching. However, the instructions jump around in "bubbles" all over the page making it difficult to follow what to do next. I also found the business of the illustrations distracting. To be honest, though, I'm not a 4 to 8 year old, and I didn't actually try any of the recipes.

Summary: A fun book for kids!
Review: I had bought this book for my son last year for his 8th birthday, He loved it and had so much fun with it I bought another one for my 10 yr old nephew for Christmas, and it was a hit with him as well! It has great recipes and easy to read directions.

Summary: Delicious recipes and truly fun & easy for kids
Review: My 8-year-old daughter & I have tried many recipes from this books and they have been delicious! She once brought the macaroni & cheese to a school party & her classmates ate it all up! The design is really attractive to kids, and the spiral binding makes it so much easier to read the recipes. The reason for only one star is I feel there are not very healthy -- too many recipes with meat and cheese.

Summary: A sure recipe for fun!
Review: This cookbook contains many good and simple recipes for young beginning cooks, using prepared ingredients - but also includes more involved from-scratch recipes for kids with cooking experience. The illustrations and photos are fun, and the book includes input and testing by real kids! They even include party ideas, and a few recipes for craft items. The gooey caramel rolls (made from refrigerated bread stick dough) are amazing!

Summary: Crazy Kid Cooking
Review: This is a good basic children's cookbook. It is attractivly set up in a way that really appeals to kids. My child has already made dinner and dessert for the whole family the first night we got the book! Some of the recipes don't seem to really appeal to children because of ingredients, but most are really cute and not bad to eat either! I would recommend this book as it is a great, fun, and educational first step to learning how to cook!

Summary: Fun book
Review: This is an easy and fun book. I don't see a place to recommend another book so I will add it here. Awesome Sweet Secrets, How to Create Delicious Gifts and Treats in Minutes is a fabulous Amazon book that is perfect for kids. Here is a tip - I bought it for a fraction of the cost on Amazon using the new and used section. It came brand new from the publisher...
Teaching kids to cook early and to enjoy it what is important.

Summary: Bought for my 7 year old
Review: We got this book for our 7 year old for Christams. I wanted a clearly set out book with basic recipes as he loves to help out in the kitchen and his Dad is a great cook. The book is quite good, and the recipes are simple enough that he can follow them with minimal supervision. They all sound wonderful with wacky names, but I was dissapointed that this book uses a lot of packet mixes and pre prepared foods. It is more like an assembling book than a cook book. I really wanted something that would teach him basic cooking techniques, where as this focuses on the end result not the process. He still enjoys the book though and at least it is fostering his enjoyment of cooking.
