I had the pleasure of interviewing Rachael about her book for my family web site families-first.com where we feature all important topics for families- recipes, crafts, education, and health.Rachael has done an excellent job in providing us, in her book Comfort Foods, a collection of wonderful down-home favorites- meatloaf, mac and cheese, along with spaghetti and meatballs- all can be made before the pizza delivery guy reaches your front steps! It takes only 30 minutes or LESS to make these great dishes! Your whole family will love her recipes- both kids ang big folks!
Rating: Summary: Best Little Cook Book Review: Everything stops at our house when Rachael's show is on. This book is full of all those great recipes to whip something up quickly. Everything is easy to make with no real fancy ingregiants. Our goal is to make every one in the book.
Rating: Summary: NOT A SINGLE PHOTO Review: I bought 3 of Rachael Rays books and was extremely disappointed that not one of them has a single photo(besides the cover). I have no desire to try the recipes without a photo. I put them on my shelf and thats where they'll stay. And I will not be buying anymore of her books in the future.

Rating: Summary: Waste of Money Review: I don't like RR's cookbooks. The recipes are not nearly as good or complete as they are on her show. I suggest watching her show and printing the recipes from Foodnetwork's website.
Rating: Summary: Food Festival Review: I have tried two of the recipes from this book, and I think that they are excellent. This book does exactly what it says it will. It provides easy to make, delicious recipes for comfort foods. I love this book already. And by the way, who wouldn't use a cookbook because it didn't have any pictures? That's like saying you wouldn't buy a great novel because it didn't have photos. HMMM.... Anyway, don't be afraid to try it, this is a great simple cookbook for working or busy people.
Rating: Summary: FANTASTIC.... QUICK & EASY Review: I was THRILLED to get Rachael Ray's 3rd cookbook. I have found her recipes truly easy and under 30 min to prepare. I have recently retired and am constantly on the go and I don't have time to spend an entire day in the kitchen preparing a meal. Her recipes look and taste like they took hours to prepare. My family and guests are none the wiser. Look forward to MORE cookbooks by her. THANKS RACHAEL~~
Rating: Summary: EASY AND AWESOME!!! Review: I watch Food Network all the time and I think Rachael Ray is one of the most captivating chefs on tv today!! She has spunk and is very down to earth. Her recipes are easy to do and very low maintainence. She doesn't get into the fancy ingredients like sherry, saffron, or other exotic stuff that I always seem to have to run out for!!! This book "Comfort Foods" is a positive step toward a great meal everyday of the week. Working people~you will love this!!!
Rating: Summary: rachael ray comfort foods Review: I've tried several recipes from this book. The best recipe is only so-so. I'll go through the recipes I've tried. The chicken soup was bitter and salty. I couldn't feed it to my chldren. The turkey corn chili needed a ot of salt and cheese to save it and was too crunchy. The chili mac was good but needed less pasta in the dish. The smothered beef steaks were good but the sauce was too watery. Either reduce more or add cornstarch. The crab cakes and the red pepper sauce to go with them were horrendous. They were like bland gummy balls in a bitter sauce.I haven't tried any more because frankly, I'm afraid. I don't like wasting my time or food for that matter.
