Rating: Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK! Review: ...I was so disgusted by this book I felt compelled to warn others. All of the yeast breads are the same basic recipe. For example, the recipes for Bran Bread, Cinnamon Bread, and Dill Onion Bread differ only in that one has added bran, one has added cinnamon, and one has added dill and onion. I made the Garlic Parmesan Bread using the exact ingredients she lists, no substitutions, and it was one of the foulest tasting and textured foods I've ever put in my mouth. I could not even force myself to finish a full piece of the bread; I felt like I was trying to eat a sponge...P>On a side note, Morris Press Cookbooks really needs to hire a competent copy editor.

Rating: Summary: Another great low carbing book... Review: I didn't think it could get any better, but Diana has done it again. I love that we can add breads back into our diets because she has come up with wonderful and easy bread recipes. My husband is really picky about low carb things and he loves the breads, especially the garlic bread - great with soups and roasts! I really like the muffin recipes, not just for myself, but my almost 2 yr. old loves them too. This is sometimes the only form of protein I can get into her. Our favorites are the apple bran and the banana choc. chip. They really freeze well so I can have some to save for later. Makes you almost feel like you are cheating! I look forward to the next book!! These recipes have made it so easy to stay on the low carb lifestyle. Thanks Diana! I highly recommend this book to anyone that is low carbing or who has diabetes and needs to watch their carbs.
Rating: Summary: Excellant way to cut carbs without cutting out fiber Review: I found this book to be helpful for someone wanting to reduce their carb intake yet keep some fiber in their diet. Fiber is very important. Experiencing diverticulitis myself, I have to be careful with my diet and include foods with fiber. A low carb diet with just meat etc. would not be an option for me and this book has some good bread, muffin recipes to include in my diet that cuts down on sugar (carbs) without sacraficing fiber content in many of them. The recipes in this cookbook can be used in conjunction with a high fiber diet to help one lose weight successfully.
Rating: Summary: Diana Lee's cookbooks are great for low carbers... Review: I have thoroughly enjoyed all three of her cookbooks and the value for the price. The bread has a great chewy texture to it and is great for dinner rolls and jumbo sandwiches instead of the skinny not-so-low-carb bread you can buy in the store. I recommend this!
Rating: Summary: Bread at Last! Review: I have tried many of the low carb breads avaiable on the market but have found none as filling and satisfying as these recipes. No they don't have the fluffy texture of store bought bread but they also don't set off cravings and one slice for breakfast of the sweet bread with butter will hold me until noon. A nice change from bacaon and eggs!
Rating: Summary: I Love your Bread & Breakfast Cookbook Review: My husband was a die hard bread fan and has now been converted, quite happily, over to low carb eating..I love your book.
Rating: Summary: Another amazing Diana Lee book!! Review: She's done it again. Diana's sequel to Baking Low Carb is as good if not better than the original. The bread recipes are excellent and work well with an automatic bread maker as well as without. She offers advice on how to find the ingredients online as well as in local health food stores plus I've found some of them in local grocery stores as well. I highly recommend this book...and its predecessor Baking Low Carb.
Rating: Summary: Bread & Breakfast Baking Low Carb II Review: This is not a book; it is more like a pamphlet. Most of the recipes are available for free on the web if you look for low carbohydrate sites. Also, the ingredients are difficult to find, even in a health food store. I would return the book if I was willing to wait in line at the post office.
Rating: Summary: Perfect for Low Carbers Review: This second Baking book by Diana Lee is wonderful, with new ideas for those living the low carb lifestyle but who don't want to completely give up baked goods. The bread machine recipes turned out very nice and did not have the spongy texture the commercial mixes have. A few ingredients will have to be searched out at your local health food store, but Diana gives excellent sources for those items not available in your area. I've enjoyed looking through the variety in this book. The cookies are interesting, and I have given them to guests who were shocked to find they were low carb. The book is well organized and carb and protein counts are given. Look for all of Diana's Low Carb cookbooks, they are a must have for all living the low carb way of life.
