Summary: The Cookbook I go back to time and again
Review: This is the most useful cookbook I own. Time and again I use it as a reference and it is most valuable because it has the recipes that I really use in my day to day cooking. Nothing fancy, just good basic information that helps me in the kitchen.

Summary: The Foundation for All Cooking
Review: This is my cooking Bible! I recommend it highly as a gift to anyone who is calling you constantly for general cooking information (i.e., how long do you roast the turkey, what temperature do you use). It is practical, and a good first cookbook for anyone's collection.

Summary: Best in my collection
Review: I collect cookbooks and have more than 50 of them. I haven't purchased another cookbook since I bought the Fannie Farmer Cookbook. It is absolutely the best in my collection and I've yet to find a recipe in it that I didn't love. Get it! You won't regret it.

Summary: The best cookbook for home cooks
Review: All the foods in this book are great. They're easy to do and taste great. This book is the book I've been waiting fo my whole life.

Summary: The ONLY cookbook you'll ever need!!!
Review: I've looked at and tried lots of cookbooks, but the Fannie Farmer Cookbook is the only one I use. The recipes are very good, easy to follow, and any information you want about cooking is in this book. A close friend wanted to borrow a cookbook, but I couldn't bring myself to lend it out. It makes cooking so easy, I even used my mother's Fannie Farmer Cookbook when I was little. You'll never regret getting this cookbook.

Summary: Best Basic Cookbook Ever Written
Review: This is the ideal cookbook for both beginners & folks who know their way around the kitchen. Loaded with good basic recipes, techniques, table setting guides, recipes for special diets, entertaining & conversion charts. I first received it as a gift from my mom when I was in my early teens. I have since given this book as a gift many times!

Summary: The best how to and what is cookbook ever published.
Review: Fannie Farmer is the cookbook for all cooks whether just beginning or seasoned. It's the perfect wedding gift for everyone because of it's many how to's, what is, and please explain areas. I have given it for many years, and all who have received it tell me at later dates - usually years that it's the best gift they received. My favorite part is how to buy, when to buy, and how to cook fresh fruits and vegtables. Do you know what spagetti squash is -- Fannie Farmer does.

Summary: The true basics of cooking
Review: This book has become a reference guide for all my cooking. A must have for any cooking library. Great purchase for yourself or as gift for weddings/Christmas.

Summary: A good, reliable, basic cook book
Review: I am using both the 12th and 13th editions of Ms Cunningham's revisions to The Fannie Farmer Cookbook. In the 12th edition the approach to flavors was somewhat timid and this has been corrected. In the 13th edition there is more of Ms Cunningham's own "voice" along with the same meticulous attention to detail. I have found these books consistently reliable; if they describe a technique and you follow directions, you will not go wrong. This is an extremely useful reference for beginning cooks.

Summary: As a relatively new cook, it's my absolute favorite cookbook
Review: I've had consistent success with the Fannie Farmer Cookbook. The recipes and instructions include specific techniques and tips that ensure good results, yet they remain straightforward and concise. No fussy details that don't really contribute to the quality of the dish, unlike my experiences with The Joy of Cooking. I also appreciate Marion Cunningham's (and Fannie Farmer's) attitudes that if you're going to cook, you might as well make the effort to do it well, relax, and enjoy the process. This book has a clean design and is very tightly written and edited so that every sentence presents useful information.
