Summary: Bobby Flay rules over my grill
Review: I recieved this cookbook as a birthday gift not knowing who Bobby Flay truely was, and upon reading these wonderful and fairly simple recipes I was amazed. The real amazement hit me when I finally got the opportunity to try some of these recipes out. Eventhough some of the ingredients were not so common, they were worth the effort to find. Making these culinary delights for friends and family has been one of the highlights of my summer.

Summary: People Just Read
Review: I think Bobby Flay's Boy Meets Grill is an excellent book. After reading through all of the reviews I noticed that many people complained about there not being a menu section in the cookbook. I don't know about your book but mine has an entire chapter designated to menu ideas that is really quite helpful. Check out Chapter 9 on page 261 of the book.

Summary: The John McEnroe of Chefs
Review: McEnroe was such a phenomenal tennis talent, but he was not my favorite tennis personality. I admired him much for the talent, but did not care for his behavior. Flay is the McEnroe of Gourmet. He has enormous talents for mixing sweet and sour, hot and cool, colors and textures and ingredients to make wonderful dishes. Another one of his talents is that the recipes are not the most complex nor involved, however they are of the essence and his techniques sure are solid and in some cases, innovative.
He is stuck on himself. However, I truly like his cooking and use his recipes from the Food Network often. That was the motivation for buying this book. I'm not disappointed. There are such a magnificent variety here: Turkey Burgers Filled with Brie and Grilled Granny Smith Apple Slices, he's a genius with Quesadillas, here Barbecued Chicken with Grilled tomato salsa and buttermilk dressing, and the Red Snapper Grilled with Corn Husks with Roasted Jalapeno-Lime Butter is just superb! Also, unbelievable combo is Grilled Sea Scallop Ceviche or the Tarragon-Marinated Lamb Chops with Pineapple-Pecan Relish.
Grilled Radichhio and Goat Cheese Salad with a Balsamic-Honey Glaze is fabulous side dish as well as the Toasted Israeli Couscous Salad with Grilled Summer Vegetables.
His desserts and drinks are wonderful section, you can't go wrong with these to make hit. This book will heat up one's grilling repertoire!

Summary: Hats off to Bobby Flay!!
Review: Once again, a great cookbook. How generous of Bobby to share his culinary secrets. Mesa Grill is phenomenal. If you have the means, you must go. If not, this book brings a bit of Bobby's artistry to your table.

Summary: Another Gold Mine
Review: Once again, Bobby Flay has produced another great book capturing his unique recipes. Utilizing ingredients that can be found at any major grocer, dishes are created with a pallette pleasing result. This book is a must if you enjoy Bobby Flay's cooking. I highly recommend this for those that can handle going where no other tongue has gone before!

Summary: OK
Review: One of the most annoying personnalities on TV now has his own grilling book. Recipies are ok, but not the best grilling book by any means. If you want a GREAT grilling book get The Gourmet Grill (if you can find it now because it's out of print but it is fantastic! )

Summary: I'm surprised it didn't come with a pin-up poster
Review: Perhaps some people buy a cookbook to see the author's picture on every page. Or if not his picture, then at least his name, please--I might forget the star power of the author. But alas, no such luck. Since he's even got his name embedded in the title, he can be everywhere all at once. I guess some people are impressed with hype, could use even more of it than is dished up every day in our culture. I, on the other hand, could have used some recipes that didn't involve cooking for family reunion size crowds. And I could have used some recipes that involved more than cooking everything indoors and then lugging a pot out to the grill to finish it off. A waste of time--unless you want more pictures of the title-bearer himself.

Summary: Yum, yum, yum!
Review: This book shows you how to get the max flavor out of simple combinations. Everything is delicious (except the margarita recipe - blech).

Personally I find Bobby Flay a bit annoying and I wish his "co-star" Jacqui Malouf would go away, but I was able to over look all that and get the book. I was NOT disappointed.

If you are looking for creative, delicious yet simples recipes for grilling, this is your book!
