Summary: It really is the ART of the grill
Review: I purchased Weber's Art of the Grill at the same time as Weber's Big Book of Grilling. I feel that with this book they went for a more upscale level of grilling which is fine. I would recommend this book to anyone new to grilling or an old pro. It is well layed out and the pictures are of high quality. As in the other Weber cookbooks, the format is easy to use and well thought out. If you are looking for a more "beginner" Weber grilling book check out Weber's Big Book of Grilling, you can't go wrong with it. I was glad I purchased both.

Summary: Great New Grill Book
Review: I've been using a Weber charcoal grill for about 30 years now. I'm always looking for new recipe books, and have tried most of them. This new book is one of the best! The recipes are all unique. I tried the Prosciutto-Wrapped Shrimp tonight and it was WONDERFUL! I hope the coffee/pepper steak turns out half as well. And even if the cooking isn't so good, the pictures in the book make it worth the purchase price. Yumm!

Summary: Mouth-Watering Weber Wonders
Review: If you've recently suffered through cookbooks trumpeting the wonders of such culinary Hindenbergs as Bulgarian-Icelandic fusion cooking, braised tripe puree or pork sushi, take note of this wonderfully-written superbly photographed guide to Weber grilling. The recipes are nothing short of sumptuous, and they don't require a Ph.D. in the culinary arts to prepare. Every toothsome detail in Art Of The Grill will fire up your dormant salivary glands (and perhaps other glands as well). My favorite recipes were the sublime Moroccan Butterflied Leg of Lamb and the Grilled Tuna Niçoise, both of which caused minor disturbances at a recent cookout. This paean to the once-humble Weber is filled with so many delectable recipes that choosing one for your next outing by the Weber is no mean feat. By the way who is this mysterious Chef Jamie Purviance? After salivating your way through a few of Chef Purviance's magical recipes, you'll pack up your pots and pans to make a pilgrimage to his California test kitchen. Make no mistake, the tall toque-wearing Purviance is the backyard's answer to David Bouley.

Summary: I Liked the Book So Much, I Bought the Grill!
Review: In a word, incredible! My wife and I discovered this book from the Weber web site (also incredible dishes not in the book.). We have been eating our way through this cook book for over a month. Every dish is well thought out and cooks up just like the picture. We've had fish, shrimp, steak, veggies, well lots of things. First time we have ever had company and tried a new dish without a test run. Oh, I have been a avid Ducane grill fan for the past ten years. We liked the cook book so much, we bought a new Weber gas grill!

Summary: This lavish book represents the very best in grilling today.
Review: It's great to see that folks are firing up the barbecue with gusto these days. Those of us at Weber can certainly identify with the lure of the flame. For 48 years, we have been standing right alongside America's grillers and providing the tools to get the job done right. As you can imagine, we have learned a thing or two about great grilled food along the way, and we decided it was time to put our best results in writing. Weber's Art of the Grill, a lavish new cookbook, starts with techniques, tricks, and tools of the trade-including essential sauces, bastes, rubs, and marinades-and then really turns up the heat with more than 100 outstanding recipes, from appetizers through desserts. You'll find the keys to all the classics here, like how to grill the burger of your dreams and how to make a steak taste so good it could bring a cowboy to tears, but many of the recipes break new ground for outdoor entertaining. Imaginative techniques and flavors feature strongly in recipes like Smoked Corn Chowder, Butterflied Chicken Under Bricks, and Cedar-Planked Salmon. A full-page color photograph by James Beard Award-winner Tim Turner accompanies each recipe, so you know exactly what to expect. Our book also offers suggestions for the right wine or brew to quench an outdoor thirst, and Weber's tips for menu planning and entertaining will certainly add style and spontaneity to your next backyard bash.

Summary: STOP.......Not quite up to par
Review: Last night we were visiting friends. I noticed this book in their cookbook collection because Weber's are the best grills. I thought it was going to be a fluffy coffee table book and I could see some pictures of food to prepare for the dinner we were making. It is that and much more. Turning each page is a wonderful looking recipe with a great picture of what it should look like. This could be a great book to leave on the coffee table.

I have looked through recipe books before. We recently bought a church cookbook with hundreds of recipes. "Weber's Art of the Grill" had more mouth watering recipes than that entire church cookbook. I can't wait for someone to buy me my own copy so I can start trying the recipes.
