Rating: Summary: This book is a GREAT buy Review: Ok, this is a great buy. I dont always have time for mega-cooking. This book is realistic and the recipes I tried in it are easy and pretty good. There are other cookbooks with more recipes but this is a better buy in my opinion than most of them. This one and the Eat This! book are my 2 favorite with recipes. The Atkins books themselves have a couple that are pretty good, but some of them are vile.
Rating: Summary: She's done it again! Easy, yummy, low-carb recipes! Review: Three more cheers for Dana Carpender! This book is loaded with USEFUL low-carb recipes that even cooking dunces such as myself can prepare with reasonable success. Every recipe is easy, made with just a few ingredients, and involves only a few steps to make. And they taste good! This is the key formula to low-carb success, as far as I'm concerned. Just like with "500 Low-Carb Recipes" (my low-carb cooking Bible), I have tons of post-it stickies hanging out of this book, marking my favorite recipes. Some of the ones I like the most are "Parmesan Chicken Breasts," and "Fauxtatoes." In addition to the wonderful recipes, Dana offers some great information about low-carb products on the market, and suggests which items to keep on hand in your pantry. Add this book to your low-carb cooking shelf. You won't be disappointed!
Rating: Summary: Sometimes fast *is* more important than great Review: There are some good recipes in this book, but too many of them seem to be of the throw-together-don't-really-need-a-recipe variety. If you really detest cooking I suppose those would be valuable. Dana Carpender *is* strict about adhering to her 15-minute rule, though, which is a big help on those too-busy-to-cook days. I wouldn't rely on this as my only low-carb cookbook, nor do I consider it a must-have, although it rounds out a collection. If time isn't your only concern, I recommend Extreme Lo-Carb Cuisine by Sharron Long, which has more interesting and inspired recipes.
Rating: Summary: Even better than the first Review: While I loved her first cookbook, I found myself shying away from its use as some of the recipes took too long to prepare. As a father of 2 toddlers, there is little time to camp out in the kitchen when I get home from work. Dana Carpender to the rescue! With this cookbook I am able to prepare healthy low-carb meals in 15 minutes that taste like I spent an hour cooking. Thanks, Dana!
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: This book has been a life saver for me as I struggle to come up with fast low-carb meals for my family and I to enjoy. I recently purchased the book, and already have my favorite meal...Parmesan Chicken. This recipe is so easy and delicious. It can be modified by adding some low-carb spaghetti sauce over the top. Please try this book. The recipes are very simple and taste great!
Rating: Summary: Simple, straight-forward, and oh so yummy! Review: I hate to cook, but eating out 2 and 3 times a day finally took its toll on my health and my pocketbook. So I picked up Dana's book figuring that if it only took 15 minutes I'd have less of a chance of burning down the kitchen. ;-) I have several recipes I love, but the absolute worth-the-price-of-admission one is her "Honey" Mustard Dipping Sauce. I am getting SOOOOO addicted to it that I'm finding myself picking my meals based on whether or not they include things that I can put it on! It's so easy to make that it adds a negligible amount of time to the prep of any of the other recipes. And they really are 15 minute recipes. (And since I hate to cook, 15 minutes is about all the time I'm willing to spend on it.) The recipes usually only have a few ingredients, they are real easy to make, and so far I've only run into one that I don't like (but I think that's just because I don't like curry powder). I even had to go out and buy a big bottle of Brandy so I can indulge regularly in Shrimp in Brandy Cream -- it is positively decadent. (Now if I could just find a place online to buy guar/xanthum I'd be set!)
Rating: Summary: Too many odd ingredients Review: Too many of the recipes in this book include odd ingredients. Guar, xanthan, tapenade and low-carb tortillas are not easy to find in my large suburban grocery store. Also many of the sauces and condiments used in the recipes are themselves recipes elsewhere in the book so if you don't have a batch already made, you'll have to spend more than 15 minutes making it. I also wish the author gave advice about what side dishes and beverages go with her main courses.

Rating: Summary: What a great cookbook! Review: I love this cookbook. I have many and this quickly became a favorite of mine. When I started my low carb diet, I thought the food would be boring. Not so, thanks to this book. The recipes are easy and delicious and the book is fun to read. I would highly recommend it to anyone, even if you are not on a low carb diet.
Rating: Summary: Even better than the last one! Review: I LOVE 500 low-carb Recipes. I thought it was the best low-carb cookbook out there--until 15 Minute Low Carb Recipes came out. I LOVE it! I hate to cook--which is what made low-carbing so difficult for me at first. But thanks to Dana's cookbooks, I've been able to stick with it. We love all the omelets (Cumin Mushroom omelet is WONDERFUL) and skillet meals. The Sour Cream Ham Supper is wonderful--my whole family loves it. I made the Italian sausage soup last night and it was a big hit--and so fast! I bought a counter top grill and a crockpot just to try the other recipes. My favorite so far is the Slow Cooker "Barbecued Ribs"--they were WONDERFUL! We all love the Beef, Sausage and Spinach burgers. Thank you for this superb cookbook--I wait anxiously for your next one!
