Summary: Great book for all interested in palm apps
Review: Even though I'm relatively new to palm programming, I've read most all of the hard texts I could find on the topic and have been successfully been developing palm apps and conduits since.

As stated, this book addresses more of the business side of palm development, at least in terms of its application therein, which is generating a lot of energy in solving previously unsolvable business functions. The book's very valuable in providing more inside information about where palm came from and where palm's going.

I also wanted to comment on the previous reader's review..

Concerning programmers, I disagree, this book is also a good text for developers and programmers alike as it elucidates some of the possibilities for palm. Who says that a developer shouldn't be versed, or at least familar with the business side/development side of palm applications? Roles of business man, analyst, programmer, developer aren't so clearly well defined as previously thought and by being able to communicate, we can work together more efficiently, creating better applications.

Also, this book touches on UML the rational unified process. It does not claim to be a reference for either. It's more of an explaination of a nuanced palm uml or rational process.

Summary: Join the Palm Economy
Review: With the sucess of the Palm platform, Palm-devices will enter the enterprise. A lot of IT professionals will enter this brand new field and look for ways how to improve business for their customers using Palm OS enabled devices. This book is a good introduction for these people. It explains something about the history of Palm devices, enlists companies partnering with Palm Inc., and gives some business cases.

Be aware that this is not a book for programmers.

Minor points: some chapters are devoted to project management and UML. These are not wholly in place in this book and ther are more valuable books covering these subjects.
