Rating: Summary: Good book about great program Review: WordPerfect 3.5 for Macs for Dummies nicely exposes the strong attributes of this word-processing program that actually outshines its rivals in key areas. One of these attributes, covered by the book comprehensively, is the interface consisting of tabs along the top of the window, much like a web browser, allowing for incredibly easy access to features like fonts, colors, style sheets, tables, indexes, tables of contents, and much more. This means no more laboriously scrolling through menus or trying to guess keyboard combinations in desperate attempts to wrangle output from the application. Another superb feature thoroughly addressed in this book is style sheets. Customizing WordPerfect for ideal hyphenation, color coordination, leading (line spacing), other paragraph settings, and more is simple and robust. Yet another feature covered here is not even conveniently offered by rival programs: kerning (spacing between characters). Anyone working on design projects quickly discovers that spacing between characters is often too wide or too narrow. No problem here, since WordPerfect offers kerning on the fly, a unique offering for a word processor! Read this book to not only enjoy a well-written publication, but also to streamline and professionalize your work--easily and enjoyably!
