Review: An excellent book with a solid compiler at a great price. If you use Arcom Target development kits then this is definitely one for the shelf. The additional on-line manuals and books are full of useful & helpful C/C++ techniques for both advanced and beginner users.

Summary: A Great Disappointment; Not Worth the Money
Review: As an experienced C programmer who has not develpmed software in any Windows environment I had hoped this package would be just what I needed to help me get started without the cost and complexity of Microsoft's C/C++ Studio tools. Boy was I ever wrong! What came in the package was a copy of Sams' 720 page "Teach Yourself C in 21 Days" which states on the cover as well as inside that it is intended to be compiler independent, i.e. all about the C language but nothing about using Borland's or anyone elses development environment. The only other item beside the CD ROM containing the Borland IDE and sample code plus advertising circulars was a ten page booklet on installing the software, three pages of which were the licensing agreement. Reading that I found that Borland itself does NOT support this product at all, and that the publisher supports it only as to compiling etc. source-code contained on the CD, not (and this is explicit) any code which you may write yourself. What a rip-off!

Review: This is a great book to start programming with. It includes a great book on the subject, with a compiler, for a really cheap price! I love it and plan on getting the starter kits for other languages too!
