Summary: A tiny, easy-to- read intro to computer usage.
Review: Scared of that mysterious beige box on your desk? Browse through this and get excellent background on how they work and how to use them. Not a heavy reference to study, rather a gentle guide to those very basic questions that need to be answered before the beginner can really feel comfortable with these strange boxes on our desks. This isn't tedious homework to be read cover to cover, in fact its such an interesting and easy read the reader will likely have trouble putting it down. Debating buying a first computer used versus new? The two page advice (pages are physically tiny so two pages actually equal one regular page) on buying used is simple, very wise and more than worth the price of the book - and I've bought and sold many computers. Know someone embarking on or new to computer use? This is a perfect gift for the fearful non-technical neophyte or the eager, curious ten year old. Dispels fears, guides the way, and gives the background info that makes it all make sense. Think of this as an idiots or dummies book, just as easy to read but wiser. Don't be afraid to buy this for the very young, the very old, or the absolute computer phobe!
