Review: The book provides extensive coverage of current state-of-the-art (academic) research on information systems outsourcing. An excellent introduction succeeds in relating the 13 articles (each by different authors). Even though the perspective is clearly from a scholarly point-of-view, the topics and articles are all accessible for the interested (OS) specialist and consultant. If you need a quick overview _and_ thorough introduction into current OS topics you desparately need that volume. It is _not_ a cookbook for CIOs seeking arguments pro or con outsourcing or how to craft RFPs. It is a tool which can unfold its strength in the hands of an apt consultant.
