Summary: Building Expert Systems by Martin
Review: Martin explains how to develop an expert system from the
bottom task level upward. If the knowledge required to support
a task is a collection of facts based on experience, the task
(in all likelihood) can be well-supported by an expert system.
Knowledge about each case may be stored/represented in the
knowledge base.

There are 4 schemes for knowledge representation:
o rules
o frames
o 1st order logic
o semantic networks

Expert system prototypes may be formulated from:
o knowledge acquisition
o knowledge representation
o expert system design
o user system interface programming
o subfunction programming

This is an excellent work for formulating knowledge/expert
systems from the bottom up.
