Review: I read the text file and used the SATAN version 1.1. This really interested me. I never expected a book such as above and I was only surfing the Web with Amazon.com when I came in contact with this book. I thought of giving it a try. This book is just incredible and explain SATAN in more detail. I am a System Admin and I know what are my problems, this book really opened my eyes. AN EXCELLENT EFFORT!

Summary: A must read GEM
Review: The first time I heard about Satan it was when I started my quest into Linux tools. I found Satan " the fixed release for Linux" I tried it !!! but never do things at 100%. When I read the Book....suddenly all changed..I have discovered the hidden side of Sys Adminz. I stopped hacking and now I'm working on the right direction. I'm on my way to code " LUCIFER" a Satan-Like software.

Summary: Great intro to SATAN and network security
Review: What I like about this book is that it is not your usual 500 pages tome, but a readable, very focused view on SATAN (and probably helpful for SAINT too). I especially liked that it also points out what SATAN does *not* do, and what to do and where to go for more information on network security in general. Recommended.
