Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good book to test your knowledge of Java
Review: Explanations are to the point and illustrated with examples. The coverage of "synchronized", "monitors", "wait/notify" are exceptional. An excellent desk side companion (another desk side companion would be The Java Class Libraries by Rosanna Lee and Patrick Chan). Includes differences of JDK 1.0.2 and JDK 1.1 as well.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A good book to be updated
Review: It is a good book, but need to be updated to include many new technologies developed in Java. I give it 5 stars but if you need to know the most recent Java, you should look for somewhere else.
