Review: Our company develops self-study continuing education programs for CPAs, and a key "mission" of ours is to get our CPAs up-to-date on current technolgies and how they and their clients can benefit from these technologies. As the CEO, I personally select all the source "texts" that we use. When we decide to cover a topic, I may review as many as 20-30 books on the subject to find the one that best suits this group. To "make the cut", the book must not only cover the topic very well and present the information in an interesting manner (i.e., boring/intimidating technobabble kept to a minimum), but it must be straight-forward, to the point, and RELEVANT. This book meets all those criteria, plus it is authored by Tom Vassos, a recognized expert in the field.I consider this book to be a "must-read" for any businessperson using - or considering using - the Internet as a marketing tool. It not only warns against the pitfalls (best example: "stagnant web site"), but fully explores the potential of the Net for MARKETING - not just "making sales".
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Great for MBA Students Review: Tom, the author, uses this book, originally published in 1996, as the foundation for the classes he teaches at the University of Toronto and McMaster University in Canada. The book is very well written and follows a very logical progression. However, being published in 1996, several of the examples are dated or simply do not exist anymore. I would recommend this book for the novice beginning to learn about the online space. Advanced students might find that the content needs a 'refresh'.
