Rating: Summary: One of Ethernet's pioneers knows his stuff! Review: Bill Hancock is one of the must knowledgeable experts on Ethernet in the world. Having spent years teaching about complex Ethernet networks at DECus (Digital Equipment Corporation Users Group) and other gatherings, Bill was the perfect person to write a book of this nature. Although two years old now, the book is still extremely useful for anyone trying to manage more complex Ethernet infrastructures. East to read yet technically complete, this book is worth having on your shelf.

Rating: Summary: Easy to follow yet complete Review: I was fortunate enough to attend a class taught by Dr. Hancock with this book as one of the texts. I have referred to it many times since then, and have always found the info to be very useful. It is written in an easy to follow manner, and never goes into a lot of unnecessary technical jargon.I would highly recommend this book as a basic-to-intermediate intro to Ethernet networks, no matter which protocol you are using.
