Summary: Contains almost exclusively DEC material
Review: I was hoping to find either suppliers of middleware, or frameworks and concepts of middleware in general, but this book only contains specific implementations of middleware by DEC. I cannot see how this book would help you either to use or choose middleware, or to write middleware. It hardly mentions windows mechanisms such as sockets, and even TCP/IP is hardly mentioned.
