Rating: Summary: Short--But Very Sweet! Review: For any would-be author, the road to publishing your masterpiece is going to be rocky unless you find a good agent. Lots of luck! For those of us who can't make the connection, this book will give you much valuable advice on not only getting your book in print form, but also the nitty gritty of what to look for, what to avoid, and what to expect! Great insight into publicizing your book (unless of course you get on the Oprah show!). The author has done it all...and stumbled, and you save time and money by his very practical advice! Get cracking; get the book--and see you (and your pride in print) on amazon.com.
Rating: Summary: An Author's Guide to Publishing on the Internet Review: This book is essential reading for anyone considering placement of material on the internet. For the most part, Mr. Vercessi's book is excellent. I was disappointed for two reasons. First, the author did not share with his readers any information about the results, financial or otherwise, of his internet publication efforts. I found it difficult to become excited about net publication when one of the seminal users of this venue failed to say whether the effort spent was at all worth it. Second, I think the author should have listed the various internet venues available at the time of publication of his book. From the perspective of Mr. Vercessi's experience in this area, some indication of the reliability of the various net publishers would have been invaluable to prospective net authors.
