Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not as fun as the KISS books...
Review: If you are looking for just a small handy reference for over 5,000 computer terms, this is easy to use. If you are more into surfing, then you might want to pick up the KISS Guide to the Internet or any of their computer books.

This is just basically a dictionary wtih computer terms and
nothing fancy.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: The best general computer science dictionary on the market.
Review: The fifth edition is now old (1994). However, a new edition is due out September, 1997. I own about 10 or so general "computer dictionaries." When I look up terms in Webster's, they are usually listed. However, when I search in the other dictionaries, the terms are usually NOT listed. Unfortunately, this book does not enjoy the widespread readership it deserves. I hope more distributers will carry and promote this reference book. After all, computer science is a major industry and major component of our infrastructure in the USA. I have been a computer programmer and now work as a senior software/systems engineer. I have been in the field of computer science for 17 years.
