Summary: Excellent for beginners
Review: Excellent for beginners...

I'm not sure why the previous reviewer felt a need to bash this book in two separate reviews, but he is wrong!

I am an advanced Flash developer, with my own small business developing sophisticated interactive Flash content for large corporate clients. While I already am familiar with all of the concepts in the 20 projects in this book, I purchased it to help train a new part-time Flash developer/contractor in many of the skills she will need to be a contributor on my larger Flash projects. She has already read one basic Flash book, and has done some simple Flash content entry on one project for me. Now I am asking her to work through most of the 20 projects in this book so that she'll be ready to contribute even more on my next large project.

This new developer has many years of previous mainframe programming experience but likes this easy book because she can review hundreds of basic Flash skills by applying them, rather than just reading. I also used a few of the projects in this book to train my 16-yr-old son on some Flash basics, and he enjoyed the projects and learned from them.

This book is an excellent value for the beginning Flash developer who wants to become "solid" in the basics, and learn by doing rather than just reading, before moving on to learn more complex, interactive Flash functionality!

Summary: Great intro to Flash
Review: I found this book extremely helpful. The steps for each project are clearly written and easy to follow. Some others here were disappointed by the projects... but I believe the point of the book was to get you to understand Flash so you could create your own projects. It is not spoon feeding you finished projects that you would use 'verbatim'.

Summary: Perfect for beginners
Review: I was catched by the title. However, I was so disaapointed on the content. It's useless. Not for beginners or advanced flash users. Useless ideas and projects!!! Stupid book

Summary: Perfect for beginners
Review: This is a fantastic book for anyone who wants to learn Flash quickly...., I realize that the projects in this book are useless for actual production ... but by doing them, you learn every aspect of the software - which is the point of the book. The projects are goofy - and funny at times - but you can take the skills you learn to create your own, useful, projects.
This is a great - and [reasonably priced] - book for beginners. I highly recommend it!

Summary: Excellent Flash introduction book.
Review: Useless lessons for everyone, not for beginner to advanced people. Bad design for printing layout and the projects. Meaningless projects, but expensive.
