Though quick reflexes and lots of luck can carry you to the winner's circle in this game, wouldn't you rather have a trusty guide full of tips and tricks? This book will explain the pluses and minuses of each podracer available to you at the beginning of the game, as well as the others who pop up as you progress through the circuit. Maps of each race track include a list of shortcuts and dangers (highlighted with arrows and screen shots) so that you can go into each race knowing exactly what to expect. Also, each of the pods is described and analyzed, so you can figure out which one best suits your racing style and (more importantly) which components and enhancements each one needs to be more competitive. The book also offers some secrets and tips for unlocking hidden racers and courses, but in truth most of these can only be unlocked by one method: you winning the races.
