Each chapter deals with a clearly defined aspect or communication layer. The OSI seven layer model is used to referenced in relation to the X.25 'layers' and the standard protocols (X.29,X.28 and X.3) are explained. there is even a chapter describing the plug types and pins outs used ! For beginers in X.25, start here; this and the ITU-T X recomendations may be all you will ever need.
