Rating: Summary: FOOL YA!!! Review: This book is great when it comes to explaining simple programming. However, as you read the chapters it gets complicated specially on functions. If your a begginer and your using this book, i would recommend a reference book as a guide. Moreover, the book emphasize on many do-it-yourself excersises, but he doesn't have answers to the sample given. I'm on my second CIS class and we are required to use this book. Ohh yeah!! if your planning to take programming class get over with your shyness because you will need to asked your instructor many programming question.

Rating: Summary: Amazing!! Review: This book was perfect for my class. It was clear and informative. This text has given me an enthusiasm for computer programming that I never thought possible. Though others may have found it to be unclear and difficult to understand, I must disagree adamantly. The specific examples were profoundly useful. I am now confident in my understanding of C++ and look forward to any other texts I may encounter in the future by Mr. Molluzzo.
Rating: Summary: Not adequate for introductory text book Review: This book was the textbook for CS1 when I was a novice to the c language. I did not understand why the professor did not use the books recommended in the articles on c book. The author tries to cram the students the know-how or howto tips for the business application usign the c. I think it was rather better for c programming articles ,not for the introductory programming text book. I always consulted to 'The C Programming Language' , 'The Book on C' by Irah Pohl,'and 'C How to Program'by Deitel etc. If you start learning programming with c. try the Irah Pohl's books on c and c++ or Deitels'.
Rating: Summary: C++ for Business Programing Review: This was my first C++ book required for my inital Programing class. I found the book somewhat helpfull in the class but, would not have been able to follow the much to complex examples with out the assistance of the instructor. The real downfall came when the end of chapter exercises required a grater knoledge of C++ than given in the book! With my further education in programing there are much cheeper books on the market that do a better job for a first time programer.
