Review: Carroll transcribes plenty of dialogue from her 6 month study in a 2-3 classroom. The students are given so much time to explore and learn to navigate on the computer that they never accomplish anything. The teacher and author believe this social time and learning to navigate are the most important aspects of technology education. There is nothing wrong with this perspective, yet for a book on using a computer for literacy activities it is suprisingly void of useful activities.
