Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Too theoretical, not for the developer or technical user.
Review: If you need a technical reference for Developer/2000 tasks this is not the book. The documentation provided by Oracle Education in Developer/2000 classes contain more real-world examples and provides more guidance in actual forms and reports development. If you need to educate a business analyst on RDBMS application development fundamentals, this might be a good book for you.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent Book
Review: Its and Excellent book for oracle developers who use Develeoper 2000. Its a must read for those who are using Developer 200 to develop web applications. Overall a must read for all developers

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Lightweight Book
Review: Serious software developer's BEWARE. This book has no technical information on developing applications with Developer 2000. If you are a Forms developer, pass on this! Until Oracle products get the same attention as Microsoft products, we will continue to search in vain for useful materials.

Summary: I really liked it
Review: The only thing that actually assisted me in this book was with dynamic LOV's. I searched for a way to develop a dynamic record group. The book did not give any examples of dynamic record groups, but instead I piecemealed a solution from its explanation of dynamic LOV's. The book does not separate the Developer tools (Forms, Reports, Graphics) into separate sections. Instead, the author mixes them together throughout the book. It becomes extremely difficult to find a solution or examples to certain areas within Developer.

Summary: I really liked it
Review: This book covers the process of building forms and reports from start to finish, and at the same time includes workarounds to some of the more sticky technical problems you'll find in these products. The products themselves have a pretty high learning curve, but I think Mr. Muller does a pretty good job of explaining them.
