Summary: Excellent book
Review: Gene is a born teacher, and if you are interested in writing VB Add-In's, this book is invaluable. Very helpful to me in many areas. I hope he continues his work with VB, and continues writing books for the VB community.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good if you need to program add-ins & know VB5 & WIN95 well
Review: The book provides a tutorial on how to program to the VB add-in object model and a thorough reference (roughly half the book) to said model.

It is aimed squarely at experienced VB programmers with a good knowledge of windows - anyone without this experience is unlikely to enjoy this book. The authors style is clear and concise.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent book
Review: This book is an excellent book in many ways. First, it does a good job of teaching what it proposes to teach. Second, it contains pertinent examples to help the reader. Finally, unlike most computer books, it has a CD that is actually of value. The book also contains a dictionary of all the elements in the VB Add-In extensibility object. This alone is worth the price of the book. I highly recommend it.
