Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not a bad intro
Review: Covers the basic concepts well. However, if you're looking for something indepth, or need help with a complex installation, keep looking. This is a fairly thin treatment of thin client solutions.

Summary: Thin Client Computing Explained
Review: Great place to learn the basics and capabilities of TSE and Metaframe

Summary: Thin Client Computing Explained
Review: I have read this book and found it very good. I was actually looking for a book on the CCA Citrix Certifed Administrator Certification but there are no books on this. This book gives you the knowledge on "how" to implement Metaframe in the Enterprize. I recommend it highly.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Well written and very comprehensive.
Review: I would recommend this book to anyone looking at implementing a thin client solution. I am reseller of the thin client product and have made this book required reading not only for my technicians but sales personnel as well. I found that the overview section in very comprehensive in describing the concept behind thin client technology. I have also purchased three extra copies of this book for clients who are considering the use of this technology in their environment. By do so I find that the sales education time for the client is significantly reduced and the client feels they have a better understanding of the individual components.

Summary: Best book on Windows Terminal Server and MetaFrame
Review: This book is by far the best one out there for anyone who wants to learn about thin client technology. It is much better then the one by Ted Harwood which I found to be out of date and missing a lot of basic information. This is a total rewrite from the first edition and has much information on Windows 2000 Terminal Server, which is bundled with Microsoft's W2K Server. There are several useful programs described in the book that can be downloaded from the publisher's web site. There is no discount from Amazon on the book but it is very well worth the full list price! I am a system administrator for several Citrix MetaFrame Server farms with about 25 NT/MetaFrame servers and I reference this book at least once a week to find the answer to some problem. I'm sold on anything Mathers writes and like Mark Minasi [Mastering W2K Server, etc, etc] I will buy anything that has his name on it as author.

Summary: Very Good Book
Review: Very good book if you are new to thin client technology. Covers new installation very well and has some excellent tips on setting up TSE and MetFrame. Also covers common pit-fall areas like user profiles and directory security. I passed the CCA exam but would not rely on this book as the only source. Get exp. with the product.
