Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great book to start on VHDL......and beyond
Review: If you want to build a solid foundation in VHDL, this is the book to buy. I absolutely loved it.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not useful as a desktop reference
Review: My major complaint against this book is that it is not useful as a reference. The index of only six pages is hopelessly devoid of useful information. Nearly all keywords listed in the index merely point to a table of keywords, with no explanation or further reference. Not in the index: "<=" (which has two meanings), "explicit literal", "aggregate", and "assignment statement", for example. Index often references wrong page. Typos ("discreet", "scaler") abound.
