Review:      Have you ever wondered why it use to take so long to download a program or another file off the Internet, an online service, or a BBS? The Internet has presented many challenges to software, hardware, and communications engineers over the years. Among them are file size, bandwidth, and the speeds involved in uploading and downloading a variety of file types. The compression of files has been an important factor in the success of the Internet.      Brian Howard has written WinZip for Beginners to offer members of the online community valuable information about the operation and use of the most popular data compression program available today. Summary: Nice book but out of date
Review: This is a nice little book. However, its coverage ends at WinZip 6.3 and WinZip 8.1 is now the standard. Still, if all that you want to do is learn how to zip and unzip files, it will help get the job done.
