Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Street Fighter Alpha 3...my waste of money. Review: I bought this book because i had the game.I wanted to see all the fighter's moves.I was mistaken it didn't have any of them, all it gave me was a summary of the fighter's life.It was not worth my hard earned money
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: This book sucked...bigtime!! Review: I love Street Fighter and all things Street Fighter but this book was the pits! This is my 3rd Street Fighter guide (I owned the guide for SF2; Turbo and SSF2: The New Challengers) and its the LEAST informative.
The 2 previos SF guides had a complete moves list (as this guide does) but has extra stuff (this guided does not). The detail of my former SF guides was impressive as they showed you pics for every punch, kick, throw etc for every character. It also included REAL combos, strategies for fighting others and tips on the game engine. The SFA3 guide bearly scratched the surface of anything.
The guide can be summarised as follows (1) Character bio, (2) Character moves list (3) 3 or 4 sample character combos (some of which DON'T actually work, trust me just look at them!) (4) Character moves list translation (to whom it applies). THATS IT!!
Unless you like to collect this stuff like me I recommend that you AVOID this guide!! There are moves lists in the game for petes sake and the character bios are lame if accurate at all.
I gave it 2 stars cause it had nice colour pics (as SMALL as they are). That leads me to another point, the pages have ALOT of dead space. With all that dead space they could have made the pics bigger.
Bad guide, BAD!!
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: A Great Book For Learning More About Street Fighter Review: I'm starting to think that Capcom just pulls Mega Man and Street Fighter games out of nowhere whenever they get bored and run out of original ideas. I bought the guide to this game so that I could keep up to date with the Street Fighter series. Well, there were other reasons too... Anyway, this turned out to be a great book, and it fully explains the whole confusing X-ism, Y-ism, A-ism thing. Plus, it gives a lot of information about the characters' backgrounds. I had to dock the book one star because--since it gives full move lists and paragraph-long biographies for 32 characters--it cut back on a lot of things that the past Alpha Official Strategy Guides had. Examples include endings and damage percentages for each attack.
