Rating: Summary: Valuable reference with great examples Review: Although I'm now more familiar with the basic
LotusScript 3.x programming in Notes V4, this book is still of use for me and it was of great help when I started to write my first scripts.
It's absolutely worth the money. The best thing
is that all examples are complete. Some program lines in every script example are highlighted
with a grey color and explained separately.
Hopefully the authors will release an updated version to cover the upcoming new LotusScript Classes in Notes 4.6.
Tip: You can also find some of the codes in a zipped Notes database archive at www.support.lotus.com - (The Customer Support Web):
Search for ''60 Minute Guide'' and you will find it.
Rating: Summary: Lotus411 -- Search for 3000+ Notes add-on products Review: I was looking for a project management package for Notes and was surprised to find over 2000 Notes add-on products. The organization was good and navigation was easy. I found what I was looking for the first time.
Rating: Summary: Para usuários iniciantes e intermediários Review: O livro é muito bom para usuários que estão interessados em aprender o LotusScript do Notes. Recomendo, porém tecnicas mais avançadas ainda necessita de um livro melhor.
Rating: Summary: A great reference book Review: The book title is a bit confusing to me since it does not really describe the LotusScript language. Fortunately, it does a great job describing the Notes Object Model, which is much more difficult to learn.I develop Notes/Domino applications for a living and I find this book a great reference tool.
Rating: Summary: Lotus411 -- Search for 3000+ Notes add-on products Review: This book is not for anyone without prior structured programming language experience. The editors did a terrible job in proofreading the book which leads to confusing statements, e.g., the last sentence in listing note 2 on page 72, the first word should be "When", not "Then". The object of each code listing is not always explained so the reader sometimes has to guess at what the code is trying to do, e.g. listing 6-9 on page 80. Related to that, the function arguments used are not explained so the reader has to compare the usage to the reference manual or online help to understand why those particular arguments were used.
Rating: Summary: Good book to start working with LS Review: Well orginized, step-by step education guide to Lotus Script Notes classes. This book definitely worth it money.
