Rating: Summary: Outstanding: the best C++ book I've found Review: For experienced programmers, this book is ideal. Before finding this book, I looked at and read several thick books aimed at teaching C++ and they all raised more questions than they answered. This book explains all the concepts in a very clear manner and uses simple and well thought out examples to illustrate what is being taught. Despite this book being half the size (and price!) of others, I found it to be very thorough.
Rating: Summary: Excellent book to learn C++ Review: Going from VB to C++ was a difficult step for me. This book has made it much easier. Definitely worth reading if you are unfamiliar with this much in demand skill.
Rating: Summary: Good introductory text for experienced programmers Review: I've been programming in C more than 15 years. I've read a number of C++ books...This book gaved a good presentation for a lot of features in C++. Almost half the book covers C (its geared at experienced programmers, not necessarily C programmers), I found the C++ half very useful.
Rating: Summary: Good C++ Refresher/Introduction Book Review: Of the many C/C++ books I have read, this book stands out for its concise contents. It will be a little heavy for beginners but is ideal for (as the title suggests) experienced programmers. The language is discussed in greater depth than many other books and it comes in handy as a reference for me. The examples are clear and certainly are well written. For those of you who have some knowledge of programming or for that matter, wish to improve your understanding of this language, I certainly would suggest this book
Rating: Summary: Must Read Review: This is a concise to the point presentation of C++. If your experience in other languages or just look to brush up on you skills, this is the book is for you. The author has hit another one out of the park. It is a must have for any programming library!
