Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Not What You're Looking For Review: C++ is a daunting language. It doesn't help when you pick up a book like this. It simply doesn't explain anything whatsoever. The author assumes that by simply writing it in his book over and over that you'll somehow understand what it means -- or maybe that's his method of teaching; you learn to write what he wrote. In all honesty it can't even teach you the basics well.
Despite it's poor attempt to act as a guide into C++, it does come with a rather useful compiler. That's about all that you'll out of this package - since the book itself won't be giving you that much in return.
It just leaves way too many questions to be asked. In comparison to a WROX book or similar books -- though I haven't looked for ones in C++, I have used many other WROX books -- it just doesn't stand a chance. Find a book that you can experiment with and not remain in completely question when learning a topic. Knowing what's going on in the code is just as important as writing it.
