Rating: Summary: "Bertrand, would you please rewrite this book?" Review: I've only been working for one year now on object oriented software construction and one of my biggest frustrations yet is the unnecessary gap between most OO analysis techniques and actual design. This "semantic gap" is exactly the starting point of the authors and with BON they prove that analysis, design and implementation can be put in a seamless process. This achievement is high enough to recommend the book to every software engineer. I read this book after completing Betrand Meyer's classic "Object Oriented Software Construction 2nd ed." which was a pleasure to read. Too bad Waldèn and Nerson don't possess the same talent for entertaining the reader. Often, a small example to illustrate some point would have made things far more readable.
