You learn how to create selections; work with layers; manage and apply color; use the drawing and photo-retouching tools; create masks; apply filters; work with deformations and arithmetic; place and fine-tune artistic type; and save, convert, and print files. Finally, you create Web images such as buttons, rules, and banner ads with image maps and browser-safe colors. The last chapter reviews Animation Shop, the GIF-animation tool that ships with the program. Appendices cover keyboard shortcuts and list Web resources for learning more about Paint Shop Pro. Throughout the book, the authors present step-by-step instructions for each exercise along with general usage tips.
