Review: This huge, confusing volume is just one part of the encyclopedia of manuals the SAS Institute wants you to buy before you can use their software. Good luck finding your topic in it! Researchers have put up with this unfriendly system for so long because SAS was a monopoly at first and was the only software to correctly handle incomplete data correctly later. Now there are many more friendly programs with statistical advisor wizards cropping up everywhere. Shop around carefully before you invest in SAS.
