Rating: Summary: BASIC,BASIC,BASIC Review: I read the reviews by others and found them to be with the exception of 1 person, not at all in line with my recommendation. If you are looking for a reference book this is not it. This book seems to be an oversight of access 97. Didn't help me in any respect to accomplishng the tasks I needed to accomplish. I could not find one help to guide me through my questions. I would recommend this book only to totally new beginners to software use.
Rating: Summary: Fast and clean Review: This book runs through the basics of building and using an Access database. The text is simple enough for beginners, and each chapter can indeed be read in about 10 minutes. I can't help feeling, though, that there is something more I need to know that wasn't covered in this book. In any case, if you're trying to dive in and use the program, and you don't know much about databases, this book can really help you out.

Rating: Summary: Great for its intended audience Review: This is an outstanding book for BEGINNERS learning Access. This is not a book for people who have used the program and are experienced with it. Other reviewers have dinged it for not being what THEY needed, but it sounds like they just bought the wrong book for their needs. Excellent step-by-step, foolproof guidance for the non-techie, such as a manager, an assistant, etc. who needs to set up a database quickly.
