Rating: Summary: Exactly what it claims to be. Review: This book is exactly what it claims to be: a short, concise, easy-to-follow guidebook for writing a software training class. I can see how this method is derived from Instructional Design Theory, and how the method could be easily adapted to writing just about any other kind of training course. But the author here does exactly what he says, and that is to focus the book on just developing a successful software class. That keeps the book short and easy to use. If you're looking for more theory or a broader application of Instructional Design, I suggest "The Complete Computer Trainer" by Paul Clothier. But for doing exactly and only what it claims, I gave this book five stars.
