Review: Have you ever made a decision you regretted about 5 minutes after doing it? (in this case, 5 minutes after I opened the Amazon.com package) Have you ever thought, "Man, if I knew this book stunk that much, I would have never bought it."? Well, save yourself some money- this strategy guide for Project Gotham Racing 2 is sub-par and a waste of moolah.Here's the main theory of all strategy guides for racing games: they usually all stink. Why? Seriously, it's kind of hard to give a walkthrough of a linear race: turn here, accelerate there- it just doesn't make a very good book. For me, I only bought this to make my order more than $25 so I could get Super Saver Shipping, but I did think that this book might just possibly help me in the game. Boy, I was wrong. ---------------------------------------------------------------- For people who are getting it for themselves: If you think this book will give you stats on every car in the game and how many kudos tokens each will cost, you might want to turn away. If you think this book will give you strategies on the Arcade Racing races, you might want to turn away. If you think this book will give DETAILED strategies for the Kudos World Series, not vague cliches like "keep a good racing line" and "don't crash or you will slow down", you might want to turn away. If you think this book will give you good strategies for playing on Xbox LIVE, you might want to turn away. Overall, just save your precious money and press the "back" button on your browser. For the gift giver: Don't give this book to anyone. Ever. It's lack of help will only frustrate the person who is receiving this: not only will they still be frustrated with being stuck in the game, they will also hate you for getting such a useless gift. If you ever want to be invited to your friend's house again, please LEAVE THIS PAGE NOW! ---------------------------------------------------------------- In summary, this is a bad strategy guide. It gives vague walkthroughs of each race that don't help. It rarely touches on any aspects of the game- all this book talks about is the Kudos World Series and the types of tricks you can do to get Kudos. No descriptions of tracks, cars, Xbox LIVE, Arcade Racing mode, or even good strategies. The upside is though, they tell you which cars are best for each race, but many times, they are wrong. If you liked the game at all, just pretend you will like this book the exact opposite. Don't get this book.
