Rating: Summary: Gimmick Advertising But Decent Book Review: First off I would like to comment on how the advertising of this book misleads you to think you will receive a $120US (40%) discount off from the A+ exams fees. What they don't tell you is that once you get the book you find out you have to purchase $153US of their course materials online in order to get the 40% discount off the exam price. The other thing the advertising fails to mention is that it is not even offered in Canada.
The book itself is a good supplement to another more all-inclusive A+ book. For the hardware part of the exam I recommend Upgrading and Repairing PCs by Scott Mueller as a reference that provide more depth to the material. Use a comprehensive A+ book that uses A+ 2003 objectives as a guide and use Scott's book to learn the different components of the PC. The more you learn the better you'll do. :)
Update: After taking the A+ exams I recommend getting this book as the testing software it comes with is vital to doing better on the exam. Some of the test questions are even the same as on the actual exam. Another book I found useful was "The A+ Exams Guide", by Chrisopher A. Crayton.
