Rating: Summary: pretty bad Review: This book is pretty horrible. The concepts presented in this book are relatively easy and straight forward. However, it tries to be too formal and is poorly worded. As a result, it succeeds in making simple concepts difficult to understand. For example, the book often goes into two or three paragraphs trying to poorly explain a concept, where as a 5 line example presented by my professor was explained it perfectly. I can't believe this book made it to a 3rd edition. Unfortunately, it is one of the only text books available so they kind of have a monopoly on programming language concept books. Hopefully, by the 4th edition the authors will realize examples are good. For now, use Google, it's a much better resource.

Rating: Summary: Good enough Review: This is a good book to know Syntax and Symantics, Structured data, Structuring the Computation, Structured programming, OOP and Functional Programming, if anyone having little experience in any programming language,, Good Enough though..
