Rating: Summary: The book is not as great as the others say Review: HTML 4 in Ten Minutes is about the worst book that i have ever read. It tells you that you can do stuff but it does not say how to. Also its examples are not good. If you type them out on a Notepad or some HTML editor, they do not work as the book says they will. There are other books. This book is at most worth $6 and $12 is not worth it.
Rating: Summary: Best book, specially for newbies Review: I don't know, how could anyone rate this book with a single star. This is a really great book. It tells you about everything you need to know. I am a programmer (C/C++/Assembly), and I wanted to create a nice site to advertise my programs. This book is a must BUY. I also love the fact, that it is very thin, and that the chapters can really be completed in ten or twenty minutes. This book is definitely a must buy for the novice...It gets you on the right track, afterwards, getting practical tips is as easy as browser the web and viewing the HTML SOURCE of all coool things you find on the web. BUY THIS BOOK if you want to learn HTML. Great Great Book...- Zeeshan Zia Rating: Summary: Great book for getting started in HTML Review: If you want to learn HTML this is the book to buy. Unlike many larger books, the 10 Minute Guide to HTML cuts straight to the heart of the matter, telling you what you need to know in order to get your web pages up as soon as possible. Its packed with information presented in a clear, concise form thats easy to read and understand. The main difference between this book and many of the larger ones is that the 10 Minute Guide hasn't been padded out with the history of the Internet, HTML, and anything else the author can think of to justify an inflated price tag. Which means that this book, unlike those others, won't put you to sleep before you can find any useful information. If you want to learn basic HTML, buy this book! Its a great place to start.
Rating: Summary: not for the novice Review: Que provides a reasonably concise outline of HTML programming in a logical and readble format. But it's probably not possible to learn how to create a satisfactory web page from this book, contray to the book's premise. And even the experienced user will not read this book in 10 minutes, for goodness sake!If you are experienced with earlier versions of HTML and need a quick outline of version 4, this book probably is insufficient -- it simply lacks the detail I would guess you will need. If you are a novice, don't even pick up this one -- get Sams Teach Yourself HTML 4 in 24 hours.

Rating: Summary: The book is not as great as the others say Review: Web page design is something I never saw myself doing, till I had a few classes and realised.."I could do it". All the books that were recommended to me were either to technical, to boring, or too limited. After reading the review for this book at Amazon, I thought I'd give it a try and now I have these pucker web pages, that took me hardly any time to put together. As they say in London "Tim you are the MAN!!" Thank you for writing this book
