Review: As a user of Dreamweaver with a good understanding of the basics, I found this book very helpful. It is well written, easy to read and doesn't assume you know anything about Dreamweaver. I picked up many useful tips on things I had forgotten or not known and feel more confident tackling the more advanced features which I had not used before. SAMS Teach Yourself Macromedia Dreamweaver 4 in 24 Hours would be very useful, particularly for beginning and intermediate users of Dreamweaver 4.

Summary: There are soo many alternatives to this book
Review: Buying four different computer books at once I had a pretty good chance of getting it right...I did with the exception of "Dreamweaver 4 in 24 H." I tested it in competition with a friend who used an older Dream. 3 edition from another publisher. It took him about half the time to learn how to teach me about twice as much as I'd learned from this book. Dreamweaver 4 in 24 H. is simply too superficial in 17 of 24 "lessons". Over and over Mrs. Bruce uses double and triple explanations for the (even for the novice user) most simple things. Illustrations are worth very little and being used to reading this kind of books I'd have to say that I only finished this one because it was part of a competition. -It failed!

Review: Finding myself standing in a place of new job opportunity very recently I needed to get a current web site posted featuring my work fairly quickly. I had not touched Dreamweaver in the last year and needed a quick brain refreasher. This book was absolutely perfect for the job.

I am a designer/animator, not a programmer. I loved the visuals and the clear voice of the book. Very easy to follow and understand. I would recommend this book for a Dreamweaver first-timer, or a refresher course....

The author do not drive you over Dreamweaver, but teach you some features, not respecting any order, or your knowledge.
Instead drive you step by step with a small project, this book will learn you some features, and you won't be able to do anything at the end of the book if you don't have any experience in web page building.

Review: I wanted a great web-page program for designing my own web -site which is small and mostly family oriented. I decided to give Dreamweaver a shot but wanted to learn it right. This book really walked me through the basics of the program and gave me hands on lessons that enabled me to try things as I read the book. Organized into one-hour sessions, some I was able to pick up in shorter time. A lot of the advanced features I probably won't use, but the information in this book still made me aware of it and how to use it. This Dreamweaver is really great and enables you to do just about anything you want to with your web page. Highly recommend this book if you have Dreamweaver 4!!!

Review: If you are first time user of Dreamweaver 4, then go for this book only. It explains every aspects of Dreamweaver 4 in nice and logical order. The language is also simple and easy to understand. If you are expert user of Dreamaweaver 3, then do not buy any book for Dreamweaver 4, as Dreamweaver 4 has little new features then Dreamweaver 3. Review: The author did a great job in providing answers/solutions for working with Dreamweaver - in an easy to read yet thorough format.

I especially appreciated the insight provided with the notes, tips and cautions. Even though the book is geared for beginners, it is also good for a refresher and/or reference guide.
