Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great for PageMill 3 beginners
Review: A book that provides nothing but basic skills. Furthermore, what confines this book is that it does not address how to intertwine these skills to create dynamic sights. Perhaps if the author guided the reader in combining the elements, the book would be much easier to follow. It is like...shall I say, being informed on what you need to build a house, yet forgetting to tell you how to build it.

Summary: lack of simple organized flow
Review: As a first timer I found this book to be very confusing. It jumped around with no simple beginning to end flow that this beginner could follow. It appeared to simply identically repeat the help file that came with the program which contained no beginning to end, step by step applicable flow in a language I could understand. Chapters well into the book contained steps that should have been done initially, etc.

Summary: Excellent book which introduces PageMill 3 capabilities.
Review: As a teacher, curriculum developer and online graduate student who uses PageMill almost every day, I found the book to be an excellent introduction to the software and its capabilities The book is appropriately targeted at beginning and intermediate users and is much superior to the any of the material which accompanies the software. I got quite a bit from the book and am certain others will also. I would love to see Langer take the next step by writing a book for intermediate and advanced users who would like to do more formal web page design using this great software product.

Summary: Excellent Guide for Learning PageMill 3.0
Review: Clear introduction of web terms. I liked the format; the features and capabilities of PageMill are clearly explained and illustrated. I have a copy of PageMill for my Mac at work and one for my PC at home, and I was very grateful for the equal coverage of both environments. This book has dramatically improved my opinion of PageMill.

Summary: Great Text for Starting Right!
Review: I purchased this book after using PageMill for a year or more. As do other users who enjoy diving into a program and seeing what it can do, I thought that I knew PageMill's capabilities and limitations well -- yet I wasn't quite sure. This wonderful book taught me more than a few tricks to make my sites far better than they were, and, yes, several program features which I hadn't uncovered on my own were laid out and explained beautifully. I recommend this title for *anyone* using PageMill, whether first timers or old pros.

Summary: Print the PDF
Review: There are better choices for getting started with Pagemill. I got a copy with my iMac and wanted a printed manual. I had no experience with web pages. The VQS guide lost me on image placement and resourse folders. I recommend printing the PDF manual and doing the included tutorial.

Summary: Great for PageMill 3 beginners
Review: This book was perfect in helping me design an in-house training curriculum for novice PageMill users. When I received the task of training others on PageMill I had never even seen the program. This book was great in teaching me the basics so that I could begin to teach others. I wouldn't say that it's an advanced users guide, but for a simple, graphical, easy-to-understand start-up, it's perfect.
