Rating: Summary: Out of date & Barely useful! Review: After attending Kim Bayne's talk on Internet marketing at InternetWorld Philippines in Manila, I ran out and immediately got the book. And good thing too because her vast Internet knowledge and marketing background create a really great book that I reference often! My competitors never even knew what hit 'em!!!! (I hope they don't read this, that's for sure!)
Rating: Summary: Finally, some real help. Practical, Useful, Must reading Review: After using this book to setup my Internet marketing plan, I threw out all the rest. Ms.Bayne knowledge and experience comes through in each and every page. The book doesn't just fill space with theory but offers the practical. Her humor and style even made reading it a pleasure. Bravo.
Rating: Summary: Simple is best Review: I am also a small business and struggle to understand the technology that we need to know to keep up! Bayne's book is right on our office reference shelf along with Margo Komenar's Electronic Marketing.Writing a book and running a small business is hard work-give us a break!
Rating: Summary: Not very useful Review: Talk about "repurposing;" I didn't feel there was anything in this book that couldn't be interepreted from a sophmore level marketing class. The number of glowing reviews led me to purchase this book and, after reading it cover to cover, still haven't found anything particularly useful or new. Even the examples on the disk were poorly formatted and not particularly complete or relevant to Internet marketing per se. Nice cover but that's about it.
Rating: Summary: Self centered and outdated Review: There are some good ideas for those at the infant level of an internet presence. If you have already started, don't bother with this one. The format is very much like a school book which make navigation easy. No need to read from front to back.
Rating: Summary: Outdated Review: This book was great 2 years ago, now it's a history book.
