Summary: An Arrow in the Heart of e-Commerce
Review: As an Executive Consultant for one of North Americas top seven information technology companies it is my job to help the executives define their e-Business strategy. This book is a must read if you want to be successful in the implementation of an e-Business Strategy or the adoption of e-Commerce technology. We use this book and customers.com as the bibles we give to CEO's, CFO's and CIO's during our week long e-Business Strategy sessions. Since we are highly paid to prepare these sessions we want our customers to have the best e-Commerce references on their desks when we leave..this is the best reading and reference book available.

Summary: The E-Commerce Book: Building the E-Empire
Review: E-Commerce was a new territory for me and my company...this book took me, and my partners, step-by-step through the entire process of designing and building our own E-Empire website with total confidence. We are ecstatic and looking forward to our gains! Thanks!

Summary: Out-of-Date
Review: This book would have been helpfull in 1995, but now it's full of out-of-date information. There's absolutly nothing worth of information in it, so save your money and buy customers.com instead.

Summary: Great Buy !
Review: This is the only "up-to-the-point" book on e-commerce. I have browsed atleast twenty books on e-commerce and this is the only one I felt worth buying. It's a great buy for the expert as well as the novice.

Summary: Author votes 5-stars ten-times here to boost his rating
Review: Basically, there is nothing of value in this book. Take a look for yourself. The author or someone with a vested interest in this book has given it repeated glowing 5-star reviews. What a laugh

Summary: A very insightful reading
Review: For many of us who know E-commerce as a buzzword, this book fleshes out the concepts and current practices clearly. The book is written in a simple, unassuming style covering all aspects of E-commerce and effectively clears up the complexities of E-commerce. This book contains many useful resources and references. I would recommend this book for any one who has little or no knowledge of E-commerce and for those who are looking for a road map for implementing an E-commerce strategy.

I am a student of E-commerce at California State University, Fullerton. This book was picked out over many other books as a prime reference guide.

Summary: Not what I E-Xpected
Review: I had hoped that this book would provide me with insights and techniques I did not already know. I am a technology professional but have not focused on e-commerce to date. I did not really learn anything new; readers of some of the trade rags (CIO, InformationWeek, Red Herring, Industry Standard, etc) will probably not benefit from the book. I will concede the difficulty of writing a book in a rapidly changing environment, but it was still too general to be of much use.

Summary: Great book and simple for the non-techie
Review: I bought and love this book because it is written in a simple easy-to-read fashion. I am in marketing and instantly felt more well versed in the E-World. I recommend highly to anyone interested in getting started in the world of E-commerce in a non intimidating way.

I suggested the book to several family members and friends who have also raved about it.
