Rating: Summary: This is Book One on E-Commerce! Review: Here you will find all the key issues artfully described, in simple English. You will learn the key E-commerce concepts; you will not get bogged down in the quagmire of programming in ASP, VBscripts, or XML. By the same token, it is not a book for hardened IT professional. However, if you are an e-commerce manager, info-architect, or someone curious about what makes e-commerce tick, then this is the book for you.
Rating: Summary: Ideal for the manager in today's e-society Review: This book allowed me to have a very clear understanding of how to incorporate and work with IT departments in the implementation of various e-commerce architectures. I recommend this book highly for those who need a no-nonsense approach for the migration to automation needed to compete in today's business environment.
Rating: Summary: Highly recommended Review: This is thoughtful, comprehensive guide that makes e-commerce seem ultimately accessible. I highly recommend it. Great work, authors!
Rating: Summary: Still The Best Review: We used all of the information in this duos first book for our executive management seminars and education sessions. This latest effort extends the e-commerce expertise even further. Again, we will continue to hand out copies of this book as part of our e-Commerce Seminar Series for executives. We highly recommend this new edition.
Rating: Summary: They have done it again with their enhanced Second Edition Review: Mr. Korper and Ms. Ellis have written their second edition on building the Empire. They have added changes that are necessary to survive in the ever-changing world o E-Commerce. The book is a good read and will serve me well in endeavors to enhance my own corporate web site. Good Job on your second edition
Rating: Summary: One of the first comprehensive "E-Business" Books is updated Review: Korper and Ellis have written one of the only "full spectrum e-business" books. So many of the books on the market are full of so much hype but little real life business strategy. Moreover, some books are technically poor but useful on the business element or vice versa. Some will take a particular strand of e-business such as business to consumer and expand on it well. Here is a commendable attempt to sythesize essential intertwined elements in E-business that are often overlooked by those with either a "good idea" or those with the desire to transform their business into an "E-business." The book is not esoteric but can be read by anyone familiar with simple net basics. Since, the E-business changes at a phenomenal rate, some of the examples of the first edition are out of perspective. The updated second edition is a true update rather that just a second re-print. The only disappointing feature in the book however, is its lack further in-depth coverage of many of the business aspects of online businesses. For instance, it will introduce business to consumer and business to business models and then give some examples. It could expand some more and still provide an overview.
Rating: Summary: A must have for beginners Review: This book is, in my opinion, designed for those just beginning to familiarize themselves with the internet industry. Combining internet history, ecommerce, and marketing with technical issues, Korper and Ellis focus on the details in a way that delivers concise, cohesive, and coherent ideas to the layperson. This might be one of the better books out there, however, a few helpful things lacking are a glossary and directory of resources. Although throughout the book the authors do refer to helpful links. Being fresh to the internet business, as are most people out there, I highly recommend making this book an addition to your reference library!
Rating: Summary: All-in-one, without one Review: This is a very good all-in-one approach, but it lacks some important information on strategy and change.
Rating: Summary: If you want to learn about E-Commerce, this is the book! Review: Are you new to E-Commerce ? If so, buy this book to get a general understanding about the New Economy. The book is for those who are beggining on E-Commerce. This is the first step: buying this book!
Rating: Summary: The E-Commerce Rosetta Stone For Geeks Review: A very strong right-brained approach to E-Commerce. Sure, there's plenty of technical tomes with more by-the-numbers advice, but this book represents the users better than any I've read. This is for those who know 'how' to build a site, but don't know why one is a hit and another disappears.
