Summary: Secrets of Financial Research
Review: In my professional role as the COO of a secondary research company, I
make an effort to review as many publications like the "Super
Searchers" series as possible. Not surprisingly, the vast
majority of books like these are usually not very well written or
worth the time to read. However, I'm happy to report that Amelia
Kassel is the exception. This book is full of useful and new
information that made me step back and say "Why didn't I think of
that!".

"Super Searchers on Wall Street" is another
addition to an excellent series, tackling a difficult subject with
aplomb. Like her other books, this volume contains excellent, real
world tips that can help a variety of different audiences, ranging
from information professionals to individual investors. This book can
be used in a variety of ways, including providing detailed
descriptions of search strategies for those less familiar with this
subject area, to specific tips for those stuck with a difficult
search.

Like other reviewers, I appreciate the power tips, and
lists of resources at the end of the book. Good work Ms. Kassel. I
can't wait for the next book!

Summary: Super Searchers -- Super Book!
Review: Super Searchers on Wall Street details how and where professional searchers go to get the information for their segment of the industry. One of the strengths of this book is that the Super Searchers work in different areas: investigative analyst, investment manager, corporate law, securities representative. Although their needs are different, these searchers often use the same sources. The different ways they interpret the same information presents a gold mine of ideas for someone seeking to maximize their own knowledge. This book is highly recommended for anyone interested in business information, either personally or professionally. It is also highly recommended as a source of career information about different types of jobs in the information management industry.

Summary: Learn How to Search Investment Sources for Yourself
Review: This book consists of ten interviews of individuals that make high use of online sources, in participating in the investment industry. The first Super Searchers volume appeared seven years ago and this one continues the tradition of providing a short course on the expert use of resources available on the Internet. The depth of experience the Super Searchers provides is amazing and even the most experienced searchers can learn a lot. A very fine line introduction explains the rationale behind the series and illustrates just why it is necessary and a great service to those who have use for investment information. These ten investment experts provide a great deal of expertise and many very practical suggestions about researching the finance and investment business. Individuals as well as those just beginning should consider purchasing this book. A list is provided of referenced net sites and sources as well as a subject index that ties the individual interviews together. Each of the individuals portrayed provided their e-mail address. Lit Maxwell, Business Librarian, University of Richmond
